City of London Sinfonia Partnership

Maudsley and Bethlem Hospital School has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with the City of London Sinfonia (CLS).    Our students have enjoyed and benefited hugely from the now well-established “Sound Young Minds Project”.

Sound Young Minds works with young people in our psychiatric hospital school, supporting their creativity and agency at a challenging period in their lives.   The facilitators and artists work with our students to help them express themselves through creative music-making alongside CLS players.  

All project sessions are participant-led, with the young people working alongside CLS artists and steering the direction of the workshop.
